The 2017 IDEAg Amarillo Farm & Ranch Show is a 3 day event being held from November 28th to November 30th at the Amarillo Civic Center in Amarillo, Texas. Vendors from all over the region will gather in one place to offer insights into the vast knowledge of agricultural information, advances in agricultural technology and products that continue to improve and benefit the agricultural consumer. This year as in the years past, Casters of Amarillo, Inc has teamed up with the Farm and Ranch Show and will be on hand to showcase the latest in material handling equipment. Casters of Amarillo, Inc offers 10″ flat free wheels for hand trucks.  These heavy duty industrial flat free wheels have a 2-1/4″ hub length with 5/8″ sealed precision bearings – 3/4″ shielded radial bearings are also available.  Comparable to a 410/3.50-4 wheel assembly, this “air-free” wheel is ideal for hand trucks and garden carts.  Load capacity is 375 lbs per wheel.

December will be here before we know it and it’s that time of year that we gear up for the annual Amarillo Farm and Ranch Show. The 2016 Amarillo Farm and Ranch Show is a 3 day event being held from the 29th of November to the 1st of December at the Amarillo Civic Center in Amarillo, Texas. This event showcases the latest products and technologies, while offering educational seminars for the agriculture industry.

Is your dolly, platform cart, towline or other material handling equipment failing to work properly?  Are you struggling to move those heavy loads?  The answer to your troubles could be quite simple.  9 times out of 10, worn out casters or improperly selected wheels are at fault.  A quick visual inspection can pinpoint the problem.  If the wheels are worn out or rougher in some areas than others, a replacement of  your casters or wheels should correct the problem.

There is no simple formula or rule that can be followed in selecting the proper casters. Many varying and individual factors must be balanced to make the selection that will do the best job for you. The following are several of the more important considerations.

Material handling equipment is equipment that is related to the movement, storage, control and protection of materials, goods and products throughout the process of manufacturing, distribution, consumption and disposal.

Ball Transfers solve a variety of material handling and motion control challenges. Whether used in the traditional ‘ball up’ position or as a caster in the ‘ball down’ orientation for rolling applications such as retail store displays, ball transfers offer advantages to traditional casters, such as lower profiles and omni-directional movement, often at a lower cost.

Rubber tread that is molded to a cast-iron, aluminum or polyolefin core. Sizes range from 3” to 18” in diameter and 1-1/2” to 3” wide. Load capacities are available up to 2000 pounds. Our tread features special bonding to insure long life and non-separation. These wheels are highly shock-absorbing, offering maximum load protection and quiet movement. A grease fitting is installed into the wheel hub on all wheels 4” diameter and above. Common applications include, stock carts, platform trucks, hand trucks and refuse disposal bins.

Polyurethane tread molded to a cast-iron, aluminum or polyolefin core. Sizes range from 3.25” to 16” in diameter and 1-1/4” to 4” wide. With capacities ranging from 70 to 7,000 pounds, the polyurethane wheels we provide work well for manufacturing, warehousing, food processing, hospitals, automotive and institutional use.

Pneumatic wheels have many benefits in industrial caster applications.  The main benefit is the ability to absorb shock loads from impacts and cushion the load.

Heavy duty casters offer increased weight capacity and durability in the 2” tread widths as well as introduces larger wheel sizes up to 10” x 2-1/2” at economical prices. The yoke construction is made from 1/4” thick cold rolled steel.  Double ball bearing raceways are deeply formed, polished and heat treated, offering a smooth swivel action and superior durability. The legs are designed and formed for resistance to side thrust failure and are robotically welded to a large 3-1/4” diameter raceway. The swivel raceway & top plate are held together with a 3/4” heat treated nut & bolt kingpin and has a 1/2” axle.  Grease fittings mounted in the swivel raceway & wheel axle and in most wheel hubs.

Medium-Heavy Duty Casters are one of the most recognized and commonly used casters in a broad spectrum of industries and is one of our most popular selling caster series. Offering exceptional quality, functionality, value and availability! With capacities up to 1200 pounds, this series is a real workhorse. Sizes are available from 3 to 8 inches in diameter with 1-1/2” or 2” tread widths.

This series of light-medium duty casters offer a wide selection of standard and uncommon stem and plate types popular in institutional & food service applications. This Durable Superior Casters® series comes standard with a dust cap covering the upper raceway. Durable has over 30 different wheel variations, colors, bearings and other featured options. Available in 3-5 inch diameter wheels, these casters have load capacities ranging from 175 to 350 pounds.

Boltless shelving is ideal for many residential, commercial and industrial uses. In the office it can be used for general storage, file storage, record archives and workstations.
