Many of the factors in deciding the types of heavy machine movers needed can be relied on by the expertise of Casters of Amarillo, Inc. and our suppliers.

homeHilman Rollers offers low profile, high capacity moving equipment that can be used to move a multitude of things.  Hilman Rollers have been used to move some of the largest objects in the world.

Used as a temporary means for moving a heavy structure, repetitively in assembly line applications or as a permanent installation, Hilman Rollers are known throughout the world for their durability.  All Hilman Rollers utilize the endless chain principle.  It features a chain of steel rolls capable of rotating around a central load-bearing, steel plate.  The result is a product that performs as a low friction, high capacity conveyor.

Often referred to as Rollers, Dollies, Skates, Machinery Movers and Turtles. Hilman Rollers has become a brand name when referring to this type of equipment.  All Hilman Rollers are rated in metric tons and carry a safety factor of at least 2-to-1.

The Advantages Of Using An H-Frame Dolly

H-Frame Dolly

If you need to move a large dresser, file cabinet, or bulky desk, we offer an H-frame dolly to do the job. There are many advantages of using this type of material handling equipment. The H-frame dolly gives you a flat surface on which to transport just about anything, including hot tubs, appliances, sofas, pianos, and entertainment units.

The heavy duty framework is extremely stable and distributes the weight of the load across all four casters. This distribution makes the load less likely to shift and easier to maneuver around. In most cases, one or two H-frame dollies can handle just about any general purpose moving need you might have.

H-frame dollies are constructed for plenty of load capacity

H-frame dollies are made from one inch (4/4) kiln-dried oak. The tight grains of the oak offer more strength than softer woods like pine or cedar. Kiln-drying the oak removes moisture from the grains, making the wood more stable in higher humidity. This stability helps prolong the life of the dolly and preserves its ability to carry a lot of weight.

Typical moving dollies, also known as furniture dollies, are wrapped in carpet to protect the load from moving around. While the carpet does a better job than the bare wood can, it doesn’t grip as well as the black conveyor belt tread that comes standard on the H-frame. This durable tread offers better gripping and more durability than carpet does.

Some loads are larger than others. Having H-frame dollies in two sizes makes it possible to handle most any size load. The smaller dolly measures 18 inches by 30 inches. The larger one measures 24 inches by 36 inches. Each dolly can handle up to 1000 pounds on the four inch casters that are standard, but these casters can typically be changed to a higher capacity caster.

Soft tread swivel casters won’t leave marks and increases maneuverability

A common complaint about some moving dollies are the scuff marks that the casters tend to leave behind. That’s generally a sign of a poor quality caster wheel. With deluxe soft gray casters, this should not be a problem. These casters will glide over freshly laid travertine tile or your nice wood flooring without leaving a mark.

The swivel casters that come with the H-frame dollies make it easy to move even the heaviest load within a very small turning radius. This makes it easy to maneuver the load down a tight hallway or into an elevator. H-frame dollies are the ideal piece of moving equipment.

Casters of Amarillo, Inc. offers H-frame dollies as well as other movers dollies and specialty dollies. We can also customize your order with any caster you need for the task at hand.
