61/62 Heavy Duty Kingpinless Series Casters

61/62 Heavy Duty Kingpinless Series casters are designed for ultimate durability and are made out of ASTM1045 drop-forged steel. Use these in abusive and demanding applications that may cause traditional kingpin casters to fail. A 5/16” thick top plate integrates with a 3” diameter, precisely machined raceway. This raceway houses a single row of hardened 1/2" ball bearings. Formed from 3/8" steel, double welds connect the legs to the outer raceway for maximum strength. Apply grease via zerks in the raceway as well as the axle. This series' unique offset raceway design, heat treatment, and tampering processes allow them to carry the maximum weight for the bearings used. This also helps prevent horizontal wear, kingpin failure, or fracturing of the welds. These features enable these casters to handle side thrust force better than other competitors' designs. The standard zinc plated finish is attractive as well as corrosion resistant.
